MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Allison Reeder embarked on her dance journey at the tender age of two, and by 9, she was already engaged in competitive dance. Her early training at Denise Wall’s Dance Energy and The Governor’s School for the Arts encompassed a variety of styles, including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Hawaiian and Flamenco. As she progressed, she ventured into commercials, music videos, concerts, parades and live performances that took her all over the country.
Her educational path led her to Jacksonville University, where she earned a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in Dance. Her involvement at the university included her participation at ACDFA (American College Dance Festival Association) for three consecutive years, honing her skills through a multitude of classes ranging from Modern and Contemporary to Partnering and African. During this period, her choreographic prowess shone, earning her a spotlight in a Gala performance at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.
Following her undergraduate career, Alli continued to make appearances as a guest performer at the 41st Annual Arts Awards Gala, on the national TV talk show ‘Conversations With Denise’ and at the Mayo Clinic.
With a teaching career of over 8 years, Alli has established herself as a dance educator and choreographer. In the most recent years of her career she has fully discovered her inherent passion for imparting the art of dance and her love of creating. Her choreography is marked by innovation and creativity, earning her accolades such as the Edge of my Seat award and Most Inspirational. Alli is currently an instructor for Shining Stars Dance Academy, Twinkle Toes Performing Arts Center, travels to judge for Elite Dance Challenge and is always seeking an opportunity to expand her horizons.
